Celebratory Flowers that Shoppers' LoveFlowers are universal gifts that almost all people love. Hence, during the holidays or any other important occasions - instead of buying materialistic items for the people you care about - shop instead for flowers to show them you care. The following are some of the celebratory flowers that many people, and probably you, too, love to buy and receive. One is the rose. Roses have been around for centuries and are commonly used as a gift accompanying chocolate during birthdays and Valentines. They are always thought to symbolise romance, love and friendship. Pink roses, particularly, have been given the attribute of elegance and sophistication; red for love; white for innocence, and orange for enthusiasm and curiosity. Second is the lotus. Lotus flowers are mainly used during religious occasions, especially in the Eastern regions. They symbolise spiritual growth, purity, beauty, prosperity, and fertility. In the Hindu philosophy, each human being is believed to have the “spirit of the sacred lotus” within - beautiful and pure, untouched by sin. Third is the lily of the valley. Often referred to as “Our Lady's Tears,” lilies are delicate flowers symbolising the start of spring. In one Christian legend, the lily flower is thought to be the tears the Virgin Mary shed because of the crucifixion of her son, Jesus. Hence, it is considered to be a symbol of humility in many religious paintings. And the last but not the least popular celebratory flower is the poinsettia. It is the popular choice for the Christmas season, thus, it is often referred to as the Christmas flower. The flowers mentioned here are just a few of the most popular flowers celebrated in many cultures throughout the world. There are many others which are equal to their beauty and fragrance. So before shopping for a bouquet, we suggest that you explore your various options first. |
